I won't say Happy Holidays
But Merry Christmas to you
And when I hear you sneeze I'll say
I hope God will bless you
I'll pray at Church, at home, at school
Whenever I feel moved
If you don't like it walk away
Feel free to disapprove.
I'm sorry that you haven't seen
The truth about our God
You can walk in darkness
Or walk the path I've trod
When you say Happy Holiday
You'll get Merry Christmas back
We'll get along only if
My belief you won't attack
This season stands for something more
Than we can understand
And I'll be satisfied if you
Won't want the season banned
I write about almost anything from an "Everyman" point of view. I am very conservative politically and I like to stick it to the the Libs who are incrementally ruining or country. I am also trying to share my life so that my Grandkids and beyond will know what made me tick.

Merry Christmas
Barney's leaving Congress,
Newt's running to be Prez;
I hear our current President,
Sometimes wears a fez.
Our debt is 15 trillion,
Good luck reducing that;
Economy's on life support.
The line is getting flat.
Obama's health plan's going down,
According to report;
But first we have to run it by,
Our vaunted Supreme Court.
And Cain is just like Clinton,
When it comes to chasing gals;
If Cain was just a Democrat,
I'm sure they'd be great pals.
And we don't need to worry,
About our Southern border;
Obama will fix everything,
With an executive order.
God's kicked out of schools,
And every institution;
Separating Church and State,
Ain't in the Constitution.
No more "Merry Christmas",
It's "Happy Holiday"
I guess we have forgotten,
The reason for that day.
Four more years of "Hope and Change"'
To finish what he started;
If we don't vote him out this time,
Our freedom's all departed.
So I just want to say to all,
Whether far or near;
Or Christian, Muslim, Atheist,,
"Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year"!!

R.I.P. Phil Rambikur
As many of you know, we have recently moved into a new neighborhood in the semi- bustling town of Hutto, Texas. (Feel free to insert your best "Hee Haw"saaaalute here!) Our neighborhood is called Emory Farms. Yes, part of it is still a farm, which I presume is still run by the Emory family. We have some great neighbors and everyone looks out for everybody else. One of our neighbors, Phil Rambikur, passed away recently from complications related to knee surgery. I didn't really know Phil well, but dutifully went to his funeral yesterday. I didn't know what to expect, but I came away more appreciative for my own being than I did going in.
Phil was only 67 years old when he passed. He had been a teacher, principal and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force. He was part of a C-130 crew that directed missions in Vietnam during that conflict and was subsequently stationed in Germany. He served much of his time as a member of the Air Force Reserve. He had a great, loving family and, as I learned, had a real zest for life. One of his former teachers related a story about how they used to chase each other around the school ( after the students had left for the year) with these big water cannons. The battle escalated from year to year, and Phil, being a military man, developed the biggest and best weaponry of anyone, and dominated the fray. The winner was ultimately determined by how thoroughly soaked one became. Phil planned and carried out his strategy which resulted in total victory.
I think that the way Phil lived his life should be a lesson to all. He handled all situations with humor and a sense of aplomb. I left the services realizing that Phil lived every day to the fullest, and beyond that, lived every day like it could be his last. How many of us, including me, can honestly say that we are like Phil? Not many, I am sure!
So here I am, 68 years old, with ravages of old age starting to creep up on me. I find myself grouchy at times, lots of times according to my family, and attribute it to advancing chronology. However, I am going to try to change my attitude. I will be speaking to myself in the next few stanzas:
"So you have aches and pains; that's what Tylenol was invented for. Take some and quit moaning!"
"So you probably suffer from "low T" A majority of men your age share this malady. Did you ever hear of a Urologist; they are in the phone book! Make an appointment and go to one!"
"So you have trouble getting up from your knees due to two hip replacements? That's one the things that canes were invented for. When you are out working on the sprinklers or doing woodwork in your shop and have to go to the floor, use your cane. It's a simple movement! Aren't you embarrassed when you have to crawl like a child halfway across the lawn, until you come to a tree that you can use to help you up? I think that you know the answer to that question!"
"At your age you still are not sure of salvation or eternity? You read the Bible, attend Church, pray, try to live a good life, love your family, are kind to strangers and pets, have a smile for the cashier at the grocery store, say "hi" to people that you meet while out walking, and try to respect everyone regardless of race, color, creed, religious or political affiliation (that last one gets harder to do all of the time!). If you talk to the preacher about this, you can predict what the answer will be. The bottom line answer to this burning (no pun intended) issue lies within you. You have to have faith and believe that the Blood of Jesus Christ was shed to save you and all sinners like you."
Hey, that's probably the answer that the preacher would have given me!
If you are still reading, thanks for indulging me. I guess what I am trying to say is that we are never too old to learn from the examples that other people set for us. R.I.P. Phil Rambikur, you were a fine example to us all. May we all strive to live our lives the way that you lived yours!

Parenting
It's your first day of school my son,
Have fun and run and play;
And if you teachers do their job,
You'll learn to read someday.
Try out for Little league today,
I know you're not real good;
It doesn't matter if you play,
For I know that you could.
I'll keep you home from school today,
And it might take a while;
Since you met that bully there,
You just don't seem to smile.
The school says that you need some help,
So they will hold you back;
An extra year won't be so bad,
It might get you on track.
We'll get computers for your room,
They'll help you learn new things;
Make sure you use them just for school,
Or trouble they can bring.
A cell phone is a must for you,
To keep up with your friends;
I wish you wouldn't talk and text,
For hours upon end!
Your new girlfriend is kind of strange,
Her rings, piercings, tatoos...
That odor that is in your room,
Could it be pot or booze??
And those new boys you hang out with,
They're trouble with a "T";
You're such a good boy, what went wrong,
Why won't you talk to me??
And where were you last night, my son,
You snuck in right a dawn;
A local store was robbed last night,
Oh what is going on??
The cops are at the door, my son
They want to talk to you;
I told them that those boys just made,
You do the things you do!
You're now in prison, twenty years,
I guess this is the end,
I wish I'd been your parent,
Instead of your best friend!!

The Violation of Americans By Our Supposed Leaders
OK Americans, do you feel violated?? You should! Your Congress has been complicit with Presitator Obummer in snookering you into believing that we are on the road to fiscal sanity. Nothing could be further from the truth. They have kicked the can of doing something real about the debt limit down the road. In this case Republicans were right leaning Democrats, and Democrats were left leaning Republicans; there is no difference in them. They have the same agenda; and that is to spend us into oblivion and bankruptcy. The Tea Partiers who want real solutions were buried under an avalanche of business as usual in Washington, DC. Taxes WILL go up, all they have to do is sunset the Bush tax cuts, which they will, and voila; 9.5 trillion dollars will magically appear that they can further spend on entitlements to help the non- productive in our society continue to be non- productive. Every hard working American will be expected to "do their share" to continue this insanity.
Have you had enough?? I have!! In November of 2012 please vote these narcissistic idiots out of office and replace them with real patriots who actually give a damn about the future of our country. I am not advocating violence, but I believe that we are not that far away from anarchy of the sort that this Nation has never seen! Our backs are to the wall, we are standing on the ledge of fiscal ruin. One little push is all that it is going to take to complete the destruction of our country. I believe that this was Obama's plan all along and he is very close to accomplishing his Marxist, Lenninistic takeover of the late, great United States of America!!

My Best Days Are Behind Me
Sometimes I like to take a light-hearted look at serious topics. Here is my attempt to address the subject of aging. Hope you enjoy:
My best days are behind me,
I've left a legacy;
Even how my dog acts,
Will be what it will be.
I've got some artificial joints,
I take a dozen pills;
My senses are diminshed,
I watch TV for thrills.
My 50th reunion,
Is coming up this year;
But I don't even want to go,
'Cause I stopped drinkin' beer.
I socialize on facebook,
I type and click the mouse;
I keep good track of all my friends,
And stay inside the house.
I'm lookin' for employment,
But when they look at me;
They say, "We'll call you, don't call us",
I'd even work for free!
Been dieting since New Years,
I've dropped a couple pounds;
I used to lose weight easily,
But now I just stay "round"!
When the preacher talks in Church,
I listen to him preach;
I need for him to tell me,
That Heaven's still in reach!
The end is getting closer,
But me it doesn't scare;
I hope the world's a better place,
Because I once was there...

You Go Obama. I Mean It's Time For You To Go!!!!!!
Obama drama fiscal trauma
Tax the rich
Run the economy
Into the ditch
Help the poor
They'll work no more
Print more money
Flows like honey
From a tree
Just vote for me
And you will see
I'll fix things good
Be like they should
And we'll all share
In my great dream
I'll need more time
To steal your dime
It ain't no crime
To take from you
Who work each day
You gotta pay
Your own fair share
And other's too
'Cause you have won
Life's lottery
And you must share
All you can spare
With those who idly
Go through life
Causing all
This fiscal strife
Tax the rich
Run the economy
Into the ditch
Help the poor
They'll work no more
Print more money
Flows like honey
From a tree
Just vote for me
And you will see
I'll fix things good
Be like they should

My Facebook Posts Highlights For the Past Couple of Months...
I have not done much blogging in the past two months due to being busy at home and at work. I have however, posted a lot of my thoughts on facebook. Here, for your reading pleasure or displeasure, are some of these, from oldest to newest, some make sense and some are completely nonsensical!! I have left out all of my blogs concerning Congressman Anthony Weiner because they just aren't appropriate for everyone to view...
I've often wondered, what "sound" does a Puget make??
Hey "rich" kids, remember to share 50% of your Easter baskets with the less fortunate. This will prepare you for when you grow up and have to pay taxes !!
Today is my 68th birthday. That's 24,837 days; 596,088 hours; 35,765,280 minutes; or 2,145,916,800 seconds!! Tick, tick, tick...
I have been alive through 13 Presidential Administrations; FDR the original socialist, "The buck stops here" Truman, WWII Hero Eisenhower, JFK of Camelot, "Not ready for prime time"LBJ, The paranoid Nixon, The caretaker Ford, Carter of the misery index, Reagan the magnificent, Bush the elder, Clinton the philanderer, GWB the misunderstood and Obama the incompetent...
I have worked the following jobs: Summer 4-H Assistant for Delaware County, 1962 and Orange County, 1965; clerk in Charlie Fiumera's Western Auto Store in Walton, NY, 1964; library page at Mann Library, Cornell University, 1964- 1966; Ag Teacher at Windsor Central School, 1966- 1967; Ag teacher at Downsville Central School, 1967- 1968; a short stint at Del- Met in 1968, US Army from 1968- 1971; Ag Teacher in Manatee County Florida from 1971- 1998 and 1999- 2005; substitute teacher in Delaware County, NY, 1998; dishwasher at the Rainbow Lodge, 1998; Forms Supervisor at Ceridian in St. Pete, Fl., 1999,; Science Teacher at Haile Middle School, 1999- 2000; part time clerk, assistant manager and summer manager for Circle K Convenience Stores, 1982- 1997; produce clerk for Hunsader . 1 result for:Echo, 1997- 2004; Industry Certification Specialist for Manatee County Schools. 2007- 2008; Salesman for Southern Heritage Fundraiser, 2008; and Test Scorer for Date Recognition Corporation, 2010 to present...
My greatest athletic accomplishment has been qualifying for the Boston Marathon in 1979, 1981 and 1995; and actually running in, and completing, the Boston Marathon in 1981. In high school I set the record for the mile run at the slow and slightly long ( I measured it!!)Walton Fairgounds track of 4:48. It is, or was, about 50 feet long per half mile lap. I also won the Sectional Cross Country meet at Delhi's Scotch Mountain course in 1960. My Walton teammate, Willie Tennant, finished second in that meet...
The most famous person that I have ever met was Nelson Rockefeller, when he was Governor of New York, in 1965. It was at the Orange County Fair when I was working as a 4-H Summer Assistant...
My all time sports hero remains Mickey Mantle, with apologies to Derek Jeter...
My greatest sports thrill was attending Game 4 of the 1958 World series at Yankee Stadium. I had won a local "Atlantic Gasoline Junior Sportscaster" contest and the legendary Amos Finch of WDLA fame, took me to the Stadium to see the Yankees play the Braves. Even thought he Yankees lost the game, they came back to win the Series and Mickey Mantle hit an unbelievable triple in the 4th inning of that game...
I enjoy incredibly good health for someone my age. I can't take a lot of credit for it though. I have been reactive instead of preventive as far as my health is concerned. I guess I can chalk it up to good genetics; thanks Mom and Dad...
I have overcome some major addictions in my life. I no longer drink alcohol, as of June 1, 1994; smoke, as of July 18,1991; or gamble, as of January 4, 2011...
I have owned at least one legendary car, a 1966 Silver Dodge Charger. Unfortunatley I abused it a lot, but I sure do have some great memories of it...
I have taught thousands of students over the years, and have hopefully been a positive influence in their lives...
I am a lousy golfer who has flashes of brilliance on the course. Ah yes, hope springs eternal...
The most traumatic events that have occurred during my lifetime were the JFK assassination on 11/22/1963 and the Terrorist attack on 9/11/2001. I was alive for the dropping of the A- bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, but of course, do not remember them...
I have no living parents, aunts or uncles left. Every summer that we go to NY we seem to attend half a dozen funerals or so...
I am fearful of the direction that our country, and world in general, is taking. A lot of Biblical prophecy is coming true...
I have been blessed with a loving family, faithful friends and interesting aquaintances...
My goal for the next year is to see my weight drop to under 200 pounds. I am finally being proactive in fighting off the inevitable ravages of old age...
I thank everyone in advance for the birthday wishes. It is my sincere hope to be able to continue thanking you all for another 25 years or so. However I know that is up to powers over which I have no control.

Mother's Day
You gave me birth,
You wiped my tears away when I was a child,
You made sure that I had a school lunch, and that my clothes matched;
You always managed to find a couple of bucks to give me for Friday night,
You showed that you were proud of me when I did something good,
And even though you disapproved, you supported me when I was wrong.
You drove me back and forth to college,
You were a shining example to my kids and grandkids,
You were a welcome wagon for the neighborhood,
You were a shoulder to lean on for friends and family.
You were the glue that kept our family together,
Even when we were miles apart in distance, thoughts and actions.
You matured with a grace reserved for only a few,
Your life was an example for all to follow.
Now that you have gone to your heavenly reward,
Mother's Day seems like a mere formality.
I do want to wish a "Happy Mother's Day" to all of the mothers out there,
For without you, we would not be here.
But the day is not as special for me as it once was,
Because you my Mother,
Evelyn Ruth Lake Jackson,
Have left this earth for your Heavenly home...
You wiped my tears away when I was a child,
You made sure that I had a school lunch, and that my clothes matched;

Birthday Blog
I have worked the following jobs: Summer 4-H Assistant for Delaware County, 1962 and Orange County, 1965; clerk in Charlie Fiumera's Western Auto Store in Walton, NY, 1964; library page at Mann Library, Cornell University, 1964- 1966; Ag Teacher at Windsor Central School, 1966- 1967; Ag teacher at Downsville Central School, 1967- 1968; a short stint at Del- Met in 1968, US Army from 1968- 1971; Ag Teacher in Manatee County Florida from 1971- 1998 and 2000 - 2005; substitute teacher in Delaware County, NY, 1998; dishwasher at the Rainbow Lodge, 1998; Forms Supervisor at Ceridian in St. Pete, Fl., 1999,; Science Teacher at Haile Middle School, 1999- 2000; part time clerk, assistant manager and summer manager for Circle K Convenience Stores, 1982- 1997; produce clerk for Hunsader Farms, 1997- 2004; Industry Certification Specialist for Manatee County Schools.
However I know that is up to powers over which I have no control...

My Facebook Thoughts From the Past Month
Over the past month or so I have posted a lot of information on facebook expressing my anger and dismay at what is going on in Washington, D.C. The following are some of my posts. I guess I am getting angrier and crotchitier (I guess that's a word) as I get older. I really do think that we are in serious trouble as a nation, and we need a new type of leader to step forward and get us back on track. I have no idea who that person might be. I am "trumpeting" Donald Trump but I fear he has too many "warts" to be accepted by the American people. Anyway, here are some of my thoughts over the past few weeks. All of the factual information that I present is true to the best of my knowledge. My never to be humble opinions are just that, my opinions, which you thankfully have the right to agree or disagree with. My name- calling of Obama is no worse than what many of you out there did to President George W. Bush, so I do not feel obligated to apologize for it. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
Would you call it economic suicide if all of a sudden US farmers were not allowed to plant and grow corn, wheat and soybeans?? We would then be dependent on other countries for our supply and would have to pay exhorbitant prices for these staples of our economy. This is exactly what has happened with the radical left who have shut down our domestic oil production. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
So Congressman Peter King, R-NY, is conducting much needed hearings investigating radical Islam. How many networks are covering these hearing?? NONE!! What is our so-called President, the radicalized Imam Obama doing today?? He is conducting a facebook forum on school bullying!! How many many of you who voted for this fraud of a community organizer still support his juvenile attempts to appeal to his liberal base??
Has anyone out there seen the www.connectamillionminds.com ad?? In it there are students from Australia, Hong Kong and Finland, countries that rank high in student acheivement, saying how important that math and science are to them. Then they show an african- american girl from the US just smiling, all full of self esteem, not saying anything. That says it all for me...
So Presitator Obummer picked 15 of 16 NCAA basketball games correctly on Friday. Too bad he doesn't do as well at WORKING at being PRESIDENT as he does PLAYING like a college kid with nothing better to do. Oh, and thanks so much for taking the lead on the no fly zone in Libya and trying to pass a budget for the US...
Hey Odumba, are you so freaking stupid that you don't know that 40 % of the Libyan rebels are AlQaeda members?? I'll bet that you DO know that. It fits your agenda to destroy America doesn't it?? WAKE UP AMERICA!!
Just a couple of thoughts: so now our intrepid and incompetent administration is going to find out who the Libyan rebels are?? Can you say AlQaeda?? Gas in Austin is $3.45 a gallon and the Dems are having a fit about exploring more drilling in the U.S. Can you say downright stupidity??
Well Congress you finally passed the budget that should have been passed last September. Thank you to all of you Republican weenies for caving as usual. You continue to turn Obama into a viable Presidential candidate for 2012. Donald Trump, America needs you now!!
Hey Congress, you all suck!!! Imagine threatening not to pay America's finest, our military, and using them as hostages during your budget negotiations. You ALL, Republicans and Democrats alike, need to be replaced ASAP!! You make me ashamed to be an American war Veteran. What good has my, or anyone's service, done???
C.O.N.G.R.E.S.S. = Cruel Out of touch Narcissistic Governmental Rip-off Experts Same-o Same-o
So apprentice Prez Obummer; you have been playing the Race Card and fooling nobody. Now you are trying the Class Envy Card trying to convince the dullards in our society that the "rich" preople that make over $250,000 a year, and have worked their butts off all their lives, need to be taxed even more. What a freaking joke you are, but you're a dangerous joke on America!!
Daily blogette: I heard that Arizona has just legalized medical marijuana. I suddenly feel my arthritis acting up!! Secretary of State Clinton says that our goal is to end the Gadhafi regime in Libya. I want to end the OBAMA regime!! I just paid $30.00 for a 1/2 tank of gas; thanks environmentalist wackos and libs!! Have a great day all!!
Is it just me, or does Obummer sound like a kid who has just had his basketball taken from him by the schoolyard bully?? I mean , he is whiney and defensive; hardly Presidential. But then he is a community organizer, accustomed to getting his way, using any tactics that he sees fit to use. Donald Trump, America needs you now!!!
So Obama, funding for four of your self- appointed czars was cut in the recent budget agreement but you have chosen to ignore the deal and keep these czars on?? I suppose when you get your ass beat in the 2012 election that you will also ignore the results and declare yourself still the President??
Only in America can a bunch of people promise fiscal conservatism and sanity, get elected to Congress, and break their promise and trust with the American people within a few months of taking office, and expect to get re-elected...
OK American taxpayers you can stand up straight again. Hope you didn't squeeze your ankles too hard waiting for the Government to have their way with you. We are all good again until next April 15th. Work hard everyone so we can keep on supporting the welfare and other dependency classes. Oh, and you "rich" people out there, start your kegel exercises now so that you will be in good shape for what the Obummer regime has in store for you next tax season!! Happy day to all of you working class out there!!! WAKE UP AMERICANS!!!!
Our Government sucks.They are all a bunch of morons and blood suckers and leeches and they think they are the privileged class. This ain't England and the only Queen in our Government is Barney Frank!!!
I hereby declare that Wednesday will no longer be called "Hump Day". From now on, by personal fiat, Wednesdays will be known as "Trump Day"!!
It hit me again like a bolt of lightning from the sky: The Obama regime is good with gas going to $5.00 a gallon or higher because it fits their end game. What is that end game you ask, very simply TO GET RID OF THE U.S. MIDDLE CLASS!! WAKE UP AMERICANS!!
So Obama, how's that Libya thing working out for you?? Just wondering, because I'm concerned about how many countries in the world are laughing their asses off at you specifically and the U.S. In general. Let me know will you?? I'm sure that you know how to get in touch with me...
I can't believe that the NAACP hasn't complained about Black History month being in February, the shortest month of the year. Or maybe they haven't realized it yet. I sure hope that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson don't read this post...
Welcome to the United Socialist States of America !!
If you are Middle Class, hang on, it's going to be a bumpy, and maybe a short, ride!!
We have a "Sophie's Choice" situation in Libya. "Boots on the ground" to actually depose Gadhafi, and in doing so we are supporting AlQeada- infiltrated rebels!! Obama, leave war to the professionals. If this were GWB doing this, all of you brain dead libs out there would be calling for his impeachment. You can't have it both ways!!
I have figured it out; Obama doesn't want to punish small businessmen and women, he wants to ELIMINATE them!!!
Please everyone, please call your Congressman or woman, and tell them "Please don't raise the debt limit" !! This insanity has to stop, and stop now!!
.

Rebels
Take the rebels' guns away,
So they can't fight another day;
And their opinion we will sway,
So that they just won't think that way!!
You know these folks are poorly trained,
Their thoughts are probably insane;
And we don't think they have the brain,
To come inside out of the rain!!
They just don't like the man in power,
They're getting stronger hour by hour;
Their disposition's turning sour,
At those up in their ivory tower!!
Who are these rebels who will fight,
For peace and freedom day and night;
To make their government do right,
To make it govern in the light??
Who are these rebels making plots,
Are they mid- east, rag- tag zealots??
By now you should connect the dots,
THEY'RE OUR TEA PARTY PATRIOTS!!
So they can't fight another day;

If Obama Has His Way...
If Obama has his way...
Gas will be $5.00, $6.00, $7.00, $8.00 or more a gallon...
No offshore or continential drilling for oil
will be allowed (by the U.S. anyway)...
Everyone who works will be working for the Government...
But not that many people will be working...
Small businesses will be thing of the past...
Big Corporations will be taxed at confiscatory rates
to pay for for all of those who lose their jobs
and they will be Nationalized (taken over by the federal Government)...
Unemployment will be paid for the rest of a person's life
once they lose their job...
Those who work will have to join a union
which will support Democratic candidates only...
The military (notice I used a small "m") will be used to
work on public works projects
be Obama's personal "guards"
clean up roadways, parks, and after union rallies
keep the tea party rabble and other dissenters away from those rallies...
And they will have to swear allegiance to Obama personally
or they will be kicked out of the military
and thrown in prison
'til they get their minds right...
Revisionist History will be taught in schools
with no mention of Washington, Jefferson, Adams, etc...
And Lincoln will be portayed as someone who had to be dragged
kicking and screaming to free the slaves...
And FDR will have saved the Union
not Lincoln...
And how did we survive
Nixon, Reagan, Bush & Bush??
Thank god (small "g") for Carter & Clinton...
Gore got screwed...
Every politician will be required to use a teleprompter
so Obama will be made to look as smart as everyone else...
The Presidential term limit amendment
will be found to be unconstitutional
by Obama's Supreme (big "S") Court
so that the Big "O"
can run for President
as long as he wants to
and he will change his title to
"Presitator"!!!
Why am I saying all of this you ask?? Because if we, the American People, don't wake up, and wake up soon, a lot of what I said can and will come true!! Oh sure, you think, "This guy is a nut, none of this could ever happen"!!
Read about post World War I Germany. The rise of Hitler is well documented and a lot of the conditions that contributed to his coming to power are present right now in The U.S.!! But Obama is no Hitler you say! All that I can say to that is "Not yet, no, not yet"...

How I Really Feel About Obama (as if you had to guess) !!
He's fillin' out his b-ball brackets,
His friends are runnin' scamming rackets;
He's playing golf at every turn,
While countries in the mid- east burn;
He's leading us to record debt,
Won't listen to the voters yet..
He still takes trips at our expense,
His lack of focus makes no sense;
He doesn't understand the fuss,
Our enemies now laugh at us; We're disrespected 'round the world,
Our flag will seldom be unfurled...
His policies will lead to ruin,
'Cause he just don't know what he's doin',
He's doing good in D.C. town,
'Cause he set out to take us down;
He's actin' like big dictator,
But we know he's a U.S. hater...
So keep on actin' like you are,
Your golf scores will be over par;
And your b-ball brackets busted,
'Cause your decisions can't be trusted;
Two years from now when you are gone,
Democracy will then live on!!!
His friends are runnin' scamming rackets;
He's playing golf at every turn,
While countries in the mid- east burn;
He's leading us to record debt,
Won't listen to the voters yet..
He still takes trips at our expense,
His lack of focus makes no sense;
He doesn't understand the fuss,
Our enemies now laugh at us; We're disrespected 'round the world,
Our flag will seldom be unfurled...
His policies will lead to ruin,
'Cause he just don't know what he's doin',
He's doing good in D.C. town,
'Cause he set out to take us down;
He's actin' like big dictator,
But we know he's a U.S. hater...
So keep on actin' like you are,
Your golf scores will be over par;
And your b-ball brackets busted,
'Cause your decisions can't be trusted;
Two years from now when you are gone,
Democracy will then live on!!!

State of the "Onion" address
A 'union" is partially defined as follows:
a number of persons, states, etc., joined or associated together for some common purpose: student union; credit union.
a group of states or nations united into one political body, as that of the American colonies at the time of the Revolution, that of England and Scotland in 1707, or that of Great Britain and Ireland in 1801.
the Union. the United States: The Union defeated the Confederacy in 1865.
I submit to you that our country is no longer a "union" as defined. In fact, our whole government stinks to high heavens and could easily make one cry; so I refer to us as an "onion", not a union.
The Presidents's State of the Union address to Congress tonight promises to be more of the same. It will be all about what HE is doing to SAVE our country from the dangerous Tea Party faction, right- wing talk radio hosts and others of us too stupid to know what is good for us. Of course, he is too smart to name these "threats" outright, but he nevertheless is determined to wipe any and all opposition off the map in any way possible.
I have discerned a move toward the center from Obama, but he remains a very dangerous union- destroying Socialist and Statist. Statism is defined as:
"the theory or practice of concentrating economic and political power in the state, resulting in a weak position for the individual or community with respect to the government."
Obama's constant use of executive orders to legislate from the White House is a major threat to our democracy as we know it. His actions are much more like those of a dictator than a President elected to look out for the welfare of the citizens of his country.
Obama will propose a budget freeze and a ban on earmarks in tonight's speech, but that is just try to appease his political enemies and make the American people think that he actually is a fiscal conservative: smoke and mirrors folks, smoke and mirrors!!
This is a dangerous man folks, and he hasn't changed a bit. He is indeed a wolf in sheep's clothing and in my opinion a true "Manchurian candidate".

Bringing Civility to Sports
Recent events in Arizona have increased the call for civility, at least for we Conservatives to be more civil. The Libs, Statists, Socialists, Marxists and other ne'er- do- wells will be allowed to continue using their fiery, demeaning rhetoric and not be called on it by the Obamaphilic press corps.
I promise that I will do my part to be more civil in my everyday discourse. I am a big sports fan and am myself subjected to this uncivil language from the mouths of Sports Announcers and Analysts. I often emulate their coarse discourse. Here are some of the changes that I will make and I implore all of my Conservative brothers and sisters out there to follow my leadership in the effort toward more civil discourse:
When I am watching a basketball games, pro or college, I will no longer use the term "shoot the ball into the basket". This conjures up images of death and mayhem. Instead I will say, " propel the spherical orb into an arc with a fixed cylindrical goal in mind." Of course, in the time that it takes for me to say this, a guy like Kobe Bryant could score at least ten points. This is a rather cumbersome way of expressing my desire for success in scoring points, so maybe I will just shut up and watch the game passively!
Also in sports, the term "sudden death" is often used. This is a rather barbaric way to describe the ending of an athletic contest. I will NEVER use that terminology again. I will instead say, "Concurrent shut down of major bodily organs, resulting in the lack of vital signs indicating the presence of life being sustained." Or again, I can just sit there are watch the continuation of the exhibition of athletic prowess resulting in relative success for one team and moral victory for the other team.
In baseball, one of the pitcher's main goals is to strike out the opposing batter. There are several "flash point" terms here that need correcting. First of all "strike out" could mean that the pitcher (a better term would be thrower of the ball) wants to harm the batter ( a better term would be proponent of unregulated logging, since he uses a wooden bat) in some way. Think of all the environmental damage that a pitcher like Mariano Rivera of the Yankees has done over the years due to breaking hitters bats with his wicked "cutter" pitch. I 'll bet that several acres of trees have been needlessly cut down to supply bats for the poor, unfortunate players who have tried to hit (make contact) with his pitches over the past 15 years. The word "cutter" also portends something evil; perhaps "ball that breaks sharply down and in toward the batter" would be more appropriate. Of course in the time it takes to say this, Mr. Rivera has probably struck out, I mean disposed of, I mean finished off, I mean destroyed, I mean eliminated, I mean... oh heck, I don't know what I mean; how about "expunged" the batter!! So as Mr. Rivera walks off the mound with another save (is he a Messiah??) to his credit, he has expunged another batter. It will probably take a few years for this to become accepted sports jargon!! The word "batter" needs to be replaced with perhaps "flailer." If you have watched much baseball lately, "flailer" might be more accurate than "batter" in describing what happens.
In the two or three minutes of my life that I have watched volleyball matches, I have heard the term "kill shot". This is both shocking and appalling to my sensitivities. At least it gives me an excuse not to watch any sport with this obvious level of barbarism! Please, please, please replace "kill shot" with something more acceptable such as "stifle" shot. Except for the fact that it rhymes with "rifle" it doesn't conjure up such terrible images in one's mind, and will allow me to sleep without having the image of an exploding ball keeping me up all night. After all, when Archie Bunker told Edith to "stifle" nothing terrible happened!
Don't get me started on ice hockey, one of the most barbarous of sports! The players use sticks with ends shaped like half of a boomerang and they hit a frozen piece of vulcanized rubber called a "puck" with this stick. They are allowed to crash other players into the boards surrounding the rink. The skates that they use have razor- sharp edges. They do things like slash, cross- check, spear, board, trip, hip check, back check, elbow, high stick, hold and hook. A player good at finishing plays is called a "sniper". A player who fights a lot is called an "enforcer". There is just too much in this sport to clean up to make it palatable to the easily offended. When two teams play each other, it is called a "match": talk about incendiary language!! The name of the N.H.L. should be changed to the "Neanderthal Hitman League". This game has gone way too far to be rehabilitated. It is my considered opinion that President Barack H. (H for Hitman?) Obama should appoint a commission to study the violence in hockey and recommend changes to make it less violent. In college we played broomstick hockey, hitting a soccer ball instead of a puck. This change alone would be a good beginning in bringing civility back to sports.
There are other sports which need looking at. Boxing, which is called "The Sweet Science", has the goal of beating your opponent into submission or knocking him senseless for a count of ten. How can anyone stand to watch this mayhem?? Oh, by the way, you can see old Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) fights on the Prime Time on Demand channel on Time Warner Cable. The "Thilla' in Manila" fight with Joe Frazier is my favorite fight of all time. Ali said after the fight that he was as close to death as he had ever been. Hey people, at least boxing is not trying to disguise what is really is, so why don't we just leave it alone?? Oh, sorry. I got carried away. Moving on...
Soccer, or "Futbol" is as close to a non- violent sport as there is. Oh, sure people trip each other and run into each other occasionally, but overall there is not much contact... or much scoring either. A score of 2 to 0 (nil) is a major beatdown; and there is 90 minutes of this non -stop excitement, plus a few minutes tacked on at the end for "stoppage time." I guess you could call most soccer matches "the thrill that ends in nil'". The only major problem with the terminology used in soccer is the use of the term "shootout" to break ties in some leagues. If this were changed to "kick the ball until someone FINALLY scores", I would be satisfied. I will be forwarding this recommendation to FIFA,(the governing body of soccer) forthwith.("forthwith" sounds like a soccer term)...
There you have it; my take on what is wrong with sports terminology today. If we are going to be made to be politically correct and civil, what better place to start than with sports? I have obviously just scratched the surface. It would take a Presidential Commission several years to come up with recommendations, get them implemented, and screw up another segment of American society, all in the name of... wait for it... POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!

Save the Planet ???
Global warming,
Glaciers forming,
Weather storming,
Insects swarming;
Climate cooling,
Countries dueling,
Need more schooling,
Need retooling,
It’s so grueling,
Water pooling;
From the rain,
We’re still in pain,
We need a brain;
Like the tin man,
We've got no plan,
Eat some wheat bran,
Get a cat scan,
Throw a beer can;
Into the trash,
Now that’s so brash,
You’ll get no cash,
And in a flash;
You’ll hurt the planet,
That’s made of granite;
And other stone,
You’ll be alone,
If crops aren’t grown,
And you’ll bemoan,
That you’re a drone;
That works for free,
A worker bee,
And you can’t see;
What you’ve created,
You've never mated;
With the queen;
You’ve got no life,
Or kids or wife;
Or those who care,
About the air;
Or land or sea,
Now let’s agree,
To disagree,
If the degree,
Of temperature;
Is up or down,
And will we drown;
In our own waste;
Or if our earth,
Will have rebirth;
All on it’s own,
If left alone..

The New CCC
It's been a while since I blogged and a lot has happened. Probably the most significant event was the trouncing that was put on our country's so- called Liberal leadership in the November mid- term election.
The recent shooting of Congresswoman Giffords was a traumatic event to be sure. However, the Liberal left is trying to use this horrible episode to advance their political agenda. They are taking from the liberal playbook and blaming everyone except those who really share responsibility for this recent unfortunate happening. I have heard their talking point that we Conservatives should engage in "civil discourse" from now on. They, however, say nothing about their responsibility to participate in this discourse. It is my considered opinion that they have no intention of reciprocating during this process, and in fact, are just trying to shut down any and all criticism of the Obama regime by Conservatives.
Their are a couple of things in play here. The Fairness doctrine, which was abolished by the FCC in 1987, basically states that differing opinions (mostly political) must be given equal time on the airways. If it were in effect now, when Rush Limbaugh is on the air for three hours a day there would have to be a three hour show giving the liberal point of view also. The big problem with this is hardly anybody would listen to the liberal point of view. It has been tried (remember "Air America"?) and it has failed. Look at the TV ratings. Fox News Channel, basically a conduit for conservative talk and opinion, pulls in as many viewers as CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and HLN combined. I do not see even liberal Americans supporting the Fairness Doctrine in its present form.
Now to the main point of my blog. I am proposing a new CCC. What is, or was, the CCC you ask? During the Great Depression, President Roosevelt, our first socialist President, proposed several programs to put Americans to work. The following is a description of the CCC from Wikipedia:
"The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public work relief program in the United States for unemployed men age 18-25, providing unskilled manual labor related to the conservation and development of natural resources in rural lands owned by federal, state and local governments from 1933 to 1942. As part of the New Deal of President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), the CCC was designed to provide relief for young men in relief families who had a very hard time finding jobs during the Great Depression while implementing a general natural resource conservation program on public lands in every state and territory. Maximum enrollment reached 300,000 and in nine years some 2.5 million young men participated. The U.S. Army was in charge of operations, but there was no military training nor uniforms."
I am proposing a new CCC to deal with this "civil discourse" matter. I am calling it the "Civil Conservative Clique." As a member of the new CCC, Conservatives will deal civilly in discussing politics with liberals by following a few simple rules:
Rule 1: Do not engage in name-calling. Liberals love to call names and if you join them you are just feeding their rage;
Rule 2: State facts, not opinion. Liberals are immediately disarmed when presented with valid facts and they will immediately resort to name calling and character assassination. Refer back to Rule 1 at this point;
Rule 3: Do not offer a Liberal any hope that you will compromise with him or her. They are looking for you to back down from your principles and will take it as a sign of weakness if you do;
Rule 4: Smile a lot, do not show negative emotions or body language. Always nod in the affirmative, even if you disagree with what is being said. It will put your liberal opponent on the defensive;
Rule 5: Repetition. Keep repeating your talking points. Make it like a mantra if you have to. I have heard about the liberal mantra over and over. Give 'em some of their own medicine!;
Rule 6: Quote famous Conservatives such as Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity as much as possible. Liberals hate everyone on this list, and by bringing up their names over and over you will surely shorten the duration of your argument or discussion;
Rule 7: Insist that your Liberal opponent show proof for every fact and figure that they purport to know. This is assuming that they will attempt to sway you with facts in the first place;
Rule 8: Use phrases such as "I see", "that's an interesting point", and other non- committal words. It makes them think that you are indeed listening to them, whether you really are or not;
Rule 9: When you are finished with your discussion, offer your hand for a handshake. This often drives Liberals crazy, and makes them invoke excuses such as, "I have a cold", "my hand is injured", when they refuse to shake hands with you.
Rule 10: As soon as you are finished, take out your cell phone and pretend to call an important Conservative such as Rush. Make sure that you are still within earshot of your Liberal opponent. It'll start the wheels turning in whatever grey matter they possess.
Some of the above discussion was serious, and some of it was written in jest. We do, however, need to change the tenor of discussion between both sides. There will never be an equal exchange of ideas given the presence of the Liberal "State-Run" media. We Conservatives need to do our part to get our message out. Come to think of it, given the present state of our economy, maybe it's time to bring back the real CCC!
