Sometimes I like to take a light-hearted look at serious topics. Here is my attempt to address the subject of aging. Hope you enjoy:
My best days are behind me,
I've left a legacy;
Even how my dog acts,
Will be what it will be.
I've got some artificial joints,
I take a dozen pills;
My senses are diminshed,
I watch TV for thrills.
My 50th reunion,
Is coming up this year;
But I don't even want to go,
'Cause I stopped drinkin' beer.
I socialize on facebook,
I type and click the mouse;
I keep good track of all my friends,
And stay inside the house.
I'm lookin' for employment,
But when they look at me;
They say, "We'll call you, don't call us",
I'd even work for free!
Been dieting since New Years,
I've dropped a couple pounds;
I used to lose weight easily,
But now I just stay "round"!
When the preacher talks in Church,
I listen to him preach;
I need for him to tell me,
That Heaven's still in reach!
The end is getting closer,
But me it doesn't scare;
I hope the world's a better place,
Because I once was there...
I write about almost anything from an "Everyman" point of view. I am very conservative politically and I like to stick it to the the Libs who are incrementally ruining or country. I am also trying to share my life so that my Grandkids and beyond will know what made me tick.

You Go Obama. I Mean It's Time For You To Go!!!!!!
Obama drama fiscal trauma
Tax the rich
Run the economy
Into the ditch
Help the poor
They'll work no more
Print more money
Flows like honey
From a tree
Just vote for me
And you will see
I'll fix things good
Be like they should
And we'll all share
In my great dream
I'll need more time
To steal your dime
It ain't no crime
To take from you
Who work each day
You gotta pay
Your own fair share
And other's too
'Cause you have won
Life's lottery
And you must share
All you can spare
With those who idly
Go through life
Causing all
This fiscal strife
Tax the rich
Run the economy
Into the ditch
Help the poor
They'll work no more
Print more money
Flows like honey
From a tree
Just vote for me
And you will see
I'll fix things good
Be like they should
And we'll all share
In my great dream
I'll need more time
To steal your dime
It ain't no crime
To take from you
Who work each day
You gotta pay
Your own fair share
And other's too
'Cause you have won
Life's lottery
And you must share
All you can spare
With those who idly
Go through life
Causing all
This fiscal strife
